Close to 25,000 Left Without Electricity in Queensland and Victoria Following Intense Weather Systems
Around twenty-five thousand homes in southeastern Queensland found themselves experiencing outages on Monday morning after powerful weather events passed over the state, producing wind gusts reaching over 100 km/h.
Substantial Hailstones and Widespread Destruction
Residents reported substantial frozen pellets as large as seven centimeters in particular locations. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that various areas across Queensland had been impacted by substantial ice precipitation.

At one point on yesterday, more than 28,000 energy customers in the state were without power.
Meteorological Predictions
Humid circumstances were expected to linger along large portions of the state's eastern regions this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the coastal areas.
The following day was forecast to be the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent thunderstorm potential anticipated across multiple regions of both areas.
Health Warning
Public health experts alerted that there was an higher risk of weather-related respiratory issues across the countryside regions, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
This alert comes after previous incidents where analogous circumstances led to substantial respiratory problems in the state.
